Spread the love

Italian Shrimp Bake: I make it a point to eat seafood of some kind at least once a week. Some of my favorite fish tacos, grilled salmon, and baked shrimp are among my favorite meals. Fresh (or frozen and thawed) shrimp are combined with melted butter, homemade Italian seasoning, and lemon slices in this delectable shrimp recipe.

The shrimp are then roasted until they are juicy and soft. A flavorful, lighter choice for supper or an appetizer that comes together quickly and can be served in a number of ways.

  • Prawns. Naturally: this is a given! For this recipe, I like to use medium- to large-sized shrimp. Shrimp that is caught fresh is the best! The tail can be removed or left on. When serving shrimp over spaghetti, we prefer to remove the tail since it makes the shrimp simpler to eat.

  • Italian seasoning: To flavor the shrimp, I highly recommend using my own Italian spice blend. It tastes great, is really simple to make, and doesn’t include any strange additives like store-bought packets. Because you can use it to season so many different meals, it’s also a terrific addition to any spice collection.

  • Butter. To make the ideal “sauce”:  mix in the lemon and Italian spice with a small amount of butter. Excellent!
  • Lemon: Shrimp that has been cooked with lemon slices have an incredible brightness to it.

TIPS FOR BAKING SHRIMP

  • Shrimp will have a grayish hue when raw. It will become opaque white and pink as it bakes. It only takes approximately ten minutes (or maybe even less) to bake shrimp! Make sure to pay close attention.

  • Shrimp will curl into a loose “C” shape when cooked through. The shrimp are probably overdone if they have curled into a tight “O” form. (An undercooked shrimp will resemble a flexible “U” shape and still have some grayish spots on them.)
