Instructions

  • A small blender, such as a NutriBullet or Magic Bullet, should be used to combine all of the ingredients for the balsamic vinaigrette.
  • Blend the ingredients until they are completely combined. Put everything in a small bowl and give it a good whisking if you don’t have a blender that’s small enough.

  • Place in a container that is airtight and place in the refrigerator until you are ready to use it.
  • Heat all of the ingredients for the candied walnuts in a small skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Transfer all of the ingredients to the skillet. The nuts should be stirred occasionally and allowed to continue cooking for approximately three to five minutes, or until they begin to appear sticky and caramelised.
  • Due to the fact that nuts can easily catch fire in a split second, it is imperative that you keep a close eye on the walnuts and do not leave them alone.

  • As soon as possible, place the walnuts in a bowl and ensure that they are not disturbed.
  • You can either chop the walnut halves into smaller pieces or leave them whole. Both options are available to you. It is recommended that you chop them.

  • Prepare the spinach (or spring greens), apple, pear (while removing the cores), avocado, and red onion by chopping them into small pieces and placing them in a large bowl.
  • Utilise either a large mixing bowl or the large serving bowl that you intend to use for serving the salad. Both options are available to you.

  • You should enjoy the salad that you serve alongside your main dish.
