- Regarding the sauce: each layer in this recipe comprises roughly one cup of meat sauce. Increase the pasta sauce to 48 ounces if you like your lasagna to have extra sauce. The amount of salt required can change depending on the pasta sauce brand. Once simmered, test and adjust seasoning.
- Layer of Cheese The cheese layers are thin: if you would like a thicker layer, spread half of the cheese on the first two levels, then cover the third layer with only the meat sauce. In our experiment, we used more ricotta cheese than needed, and the lasagna was overwhelmed by it.
- Time-Saving Tip: Forego boiling and use fresh lasagna sheets from the deli section! There is no need to boil the fresh lasagna beforehand.

- After taking the lasagna out of the oven: let it sit or rest for at least 15 minutes (even 30 to 45 minutes is OK). This will help it maintain its shape when cut and prevent it from getting runny. Reheating does not necessitate resting.
- Changes: Cottage cheese can be used in place of ricotta cheese.
If necessary, use ground turkey or all beef for the sausage. If whole beef is used,
